Do you want to make a real difference in the courtroom and enjoy a life outside of it?
The Coles County Public Defender’s Office is seeking a passionate, dedicated Assistant Public Defender to join our team. You’ll handle felony-level cases, as well as other criminal and juvenile matters, advocating for those who need a strong voice in the legal system. Candidates with jury trial experience and at least 4 years legal experience are preferred.
This is your chance to stand up for constitutional rights, challenge and protect the system, and defend with purpose — all without tracking billable hours or punching a time clock.
