Mission Statement

It is the mission of CECOM to enhance the quality of life of every person in Coles and Moultrie Counties by processing emergency 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls for service in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. We strive for excellence and help save lives, protect property, assist the public, and public safety personnel, making Coles and Moultrie Counties safer communities in which to live, work, and visit.

In carrying out our mission, we recognize that service is our one and only product, and we share a common, ongoing goal to provide it at the most superior level possible. We also recognize that our strength and success are tied directly to the individual and unique contribution of each of us, working in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork with our public safety associates both within and outside the center.

Coles-Moultrie 9-1-1 (CECOM) dispatches for 10 police departments, 14 fire departments, and 7 EMS agencies serving a population of 61,400 residents in a total area of 854 square miles. CECOM currently employs 18 Telecommunicators and 3 administrative staff.
